Specifications

Detection Method:

 Dynamic capacitance using horizontal and vertical wires of 10 microndiameter wires.
Screen Sizes: Available in different sizes.
Resolution: Less than 1mm.
Sensitivity:
 Adjustable by software. Can be adjusted for different thickness of glass and even use with gloved hands. Functions with nonmetalise) single construction glass 16mm thick.
Speed of Response: Depends upon glass thickness. Typically 30ms.
Output: RS232C communications to a 9 pin D female.
Power Requirement: Typically 5 mA at between 6 and 16 volts, taking its power from the Serial Port of the PC.
Software provided: Simple calibration and set-up with Windows 9X, NT, 2000, XP and Linux. Mouse emulation with Select on Touch, Select on Dwell, Select on Release and Drag and Drop.
Temperature range: Better than -40 to +70°C.
Humidity: Controller: 0% to 90%. Unaffected by condensation.
MTBF (Sensor): Excellent, no known wear-out mechanism.
MTBF (Controller): 1 million hours.
