Optical Imaging

Optical imaging techniques is to record the touch point, or recognise an off-screen gesture.
Using this unique technology, the touch actually registers up to 1mm (0.04”) before the physical touch on the Touch Surface.
This technology effectively scales to touch-enable very large Displays. Overlays are not used, therefore excellent image clarity is provided. In addition, scratches on the Touch Surface will not affect the Touch Screen operation.

Optical imaging technology provides a solution without calibration draft, therefore, once the Optical Imaging Touch Screen has been calibrated it does not require any further adjustment. In addition, the optical imaging technology allows any stylus to be used.
The Optical Imaging Touch Screen slim profile can easily be retro-fitted to most existing Flat Panel Displays, or incorporated into a variety of business solutions - Kiosk designs, Shop Windows, Display Cabinets etc.
Optical imaging technology has substantial advantages over the other standard types of touch-enabled technology.
